Two paths through the category
Web path. Start with Learn HTML to structure pages semantically, then Learn CSS to lay them out with flexbox and grid. Both are free, self-paced, and written for beginners and experienced developers alike.
Data path. Take Google's Python Class if you already know basic programming, then move to the Machine Learning Crash Course, which runs its exercises in Colab and expects comfort with Python. The Google Sheets course offers a gentler entry to statistics for learners who prefer spreadsheets to code.
What to keep in mind
The web.dev and Google for Developers resources are fully free, with no certificate. The Alison and DataCamp courses require registration, and their certificate conditions are set by each platform. Google's Python Class videos predate Python 3, so rely on the updated written lessons when they differ.
