How to combine them
The OpenLearn course gives you two weeks of structured practice with pronunciation, greetings, and your first sentences about yourself. Once you finish it, the phrases and vocabulary guides extend what you can say, and the verbs guide explains the patterns behind the forms you have been using.
The adverbs and connectors guides are best kept for later, when you are writing paragraphs and want them to sound natural. Both include material for intermediate learners, such as negative structures and connectors that trigger the subjunctive.
What is missing
The category does not yet include a long course that continues beyond the beginner stage. For listening practice after the OpenLearn course, regular exposure to French audio and video will complement the reference guides.
